Titles, Titles, Titles!

I should have updated on this sooner, but life outside of the barn has been pretty busy lately.

My Morgans have really been pulling in titles!

Infectious Love
Became a Grand Champion right around his tenth birthday! Bugsy is such a pleasure to work with. Very gentle and conformationally he is probably my favorite stallion. He didn't care much for chasing cows though; they kept out-running him! Bugsy loved showing off in-hand and under saddle. He reached a score of 82.385 in-hand and 78.712 under saddle. I haven't yet used him as a sire yet, but I plan to soon!

Lady Cassandra
Also became a Grand Champion! This was a huge surprise for me. Her sire's bloodlines are completely unproven in the show ring, and her dam is as well. But Lady Cassandra kicked tushie! She excelled in both cutting and saddleseat too! Just how I want my future herd to be. On first glance one wouldn't expect her to reach 84.283 in-hand, 80.317 under saddle, and 77.399 cutting! But she did! And she was only 6 years old! Such an excellent show mare. Toed-out? I could care less. She's on her way to National, and maybe World? ;)

Prescription For Sunlight
Pulled in a GCh title at 6years 1month and then became our second ever National Champion at only 8years 7 months!!! 141 events with 33 majors! I knew she was special from the day she was born. I would try for WCh with her but I don't think we have enough competition in Gaited or cutting to get her there. Plus I really want to get her into the broodmare barn... Anyway, she made 84.108 in-hand, 81.735 under saddle, and 78.036 in cutting! She has a major conformation fault? What? Who cares, her toes just point out a little.

Controversial
Not even four years old yet and she has scored over 80 and earned 20 points toward her ACh! I absolutely LOVE working with this mare. She is everything I want and more in a Morgan. Able to prance and collect up and then turn around and cut cows without hesitation. WCh? maybe...

I've got two older ACh stallions working their way up to a GCh as well. Alice In Strings and No Sunlight 'Til Dawn.

As of right now, we have reached 18 homebred champions! Someday soon I hope to make it on to the top breeders list.
Thanks for reading!

  1. Congratulations on all of the new titles! It looks like things are moving forward very well and I hope it continues on that path for a long time.
