Change May Be In Our Future

In RL, I love the Morgan breed. I love their beauty, unique conformation, movement, but most of all I love their personalities. If you have never loved on and ridden a Morgan I suggest you add it to your bucket list. Anyway, I started here on E-R breeding Morgans for western pleasure as that was what I was taking lessons on in RL. At that time I had actually been fairly new to the world of Morgan horses though. Park horses(saddleseat) are the big fad in RL Morgan horses, and I soon grew to really like them and switched my Morgans on E-R to Gaited. Since I have grown older and/or wiser I have grown less fond of park-type Morgans (I'll have to rant on that another time). I still like some of the high-stepper bred Morgans, but I have found I typically like the more classic looking Morgans better. I have always had a soft spot for warmbloods though, they were my first love, and I have recently become a fan of Dutch Harness Horses.

On E-R, I manage two ranches, The Carousel and Whisperin' Pines Manor. On The Carousel I have:
Morgans intended mainly for Gaited.
A few Appaloosas for cutting and playing with spots.
A few Single Footing Horses for fun.

At Whisperin' Pines Manor I have Dutch Warmbloods intended for fine harness, aka Dutch Harness Horses(since E-R doesn't actually have a DHH, I just imagine the dutch warmbloods are as the DHH is a warmblood). I recently sold most of my stock on this ranch though so I could focus more on The Carousel.

I have been tossing around a few ideas for changes though:

Morgans: Cull way back and instead focus on cutting and do a little Gaited showing.
Appaloosas: Sell off. I just don't think I have time to manage so many breeds.
Single Footing Horses: No change.
Dutch Warmblood/Harness Horses: Switch focus to this breed. I really want to try out a few new experiments with this breed. One, use mainly performance customs as a foundation instead of LS. Two, come up with some kind of formula analysis for ranking and breeding horses. (kind of like we did in the ERDHHR, but modified for the new changes and stuff)

I've found a few bumps in my plans though. One, I have spent 100+ game years breeding Morgans and have gotten pretty far considering I have few horses with blood from other ranches, so I am not sure I can really bring myself to selling off most of my stock. Two, I've found I don't like having multiple ranches, even if the other was grandfathered in. I don't really know why, but it kinda overwhelms me or makes me feel unorganized. I'd rather just operate one ranch, my main one, The Carousel. That being said, my DHH stock is on the other ranch! Argh. I could just completely start anew with Dutch Warmbloods at The Carousel, or I could try to operate two ranches, but I would rather not do either lol. I wish I could just move my DHH stock to The Carousel and just completely close/delete the other ranch, but this is not possible.

Sigh. I am not sure what to do with my ranches right now lol.

Update 4-28
I am in progress of selling off my 3 Appaloosas, and I have just listed a bunch of Morgans for sale. After all the listed Morgans sell, I will have only 22 active Morgans!
